Toy Story for Chartered Accountants (19th Dec 2011)
Ulster’s Chartered Accountants helped Santa this week by presenting over £5,000 worth of toys to the Salvation Army and St. Vincent de Paul Christmas Toy Appeal. Chartered Accountants Ulster Society also raised over £6,000 for the Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children.
The toys and funds were collected at the Society’s Christmas Charity Lunch at the Europa Hotel in Belfast. Providing entertainment at the lunch were pupils from St. Bernadette’s Primary School and Grosvenor Grammar School.
Michael Black, Chairman of Chartered Accountants Ulster Society said: “It’s especially important this year that we do what we can to come together to put a bit of sparkle into Christmas for local kids. The Charity Lunch is always one of our busiest and most enjoyable events and we hope that the funds we’ve raised and the toys we’ve collected will make a big difference to the charities we’re supporting.”
